Broadband Slow Down                                                        9/7/09

Sirs,

In John Macleod’s (Letters 7/7/2009) response to Suzy Macaulay (Letters 6/7/2009) he suggests that the whole Western Isles would benefit greatly from BT Broadband. I would certainly agree that this should be the case, however in the light of some of us in the Stornoway area having real problems with broadband download speeds making it almost impossible to browse the web at the moment I would suggest the campaign for BT broadband taps on the brakes slightly before stamping on the accelerator. How many other readers have been suffering the same? Although they may not be able to access your site to read this question.

Maybe other readers will be able to confirm at what point, if any, the Hebrides.net service hits theground and takes a BT route, since if it is anywhere near Stornoway that must surely be impacting heavily on all those on Hebrides.net.
