The Uibhisteach was a good thing 3/2/10
Sirs,
With respect to Mr D S Murray in Shetland and with the acknowledgement of the fact he is a born and bred Niseach maybe I can say to him that Mr
Angus MacNeil was in the USA at the time of the meetings regarding the MoD future plans for Uist to see if he could get some insight into how to take instant decisions of how to tackle piracy as was shown by the US Navy Seals in the stance taken last year in the skilful and magnificent manner of knocking off all three pirates while the ship’s Captain was sitting right alongside them in a small open boat.
Now we need to take such lessons aboard and get the Chandlers out quick instead of dithering as we always tend to do ,politically [locally and nationwide] , economically and socially.
Now ,where was I ? Oh yes, I’d like to thank DS for his much valued
contribution when he had the local Uibhisteach magazine going here. It was a good thing DS and it was a pity you did not get the right support to help you carry on with that good periodical, the same as you are now denied that support with your good intentions towards proper and transparent communications by all and sundry, be it political or other.
