Motorist caught speeding at over 100 mph        4/2/10

A Lewis motorist has been disqualified from driving for six months for speeding.

Iain Mackay of 64 Parkend, was also fined a total of £600 at Stornoway Sherrif Court yesterday (wed).

The 24-year-old admitted breaking the limit by speeding at 103 mph on a single carriageway in Newmarket on 13 November. He also pleaded guilty to not having valid insurance.
